The Automotive Side Shield part is a high quality automotive interior trim assembly consisting of right and left hand polypropylene parts, foam sound deadening pads, metal clips, and flock tape. The AMS automated clip installation machine performs the following functions:
- Detect that operator has loaded clips into magnetic receivers/installers before cycling.
- Detect presence of polypropylene part, foam, and flock tape before cycling.
- Automatically install clips onto polypropylene part.
- Detect presence of clips installed on polyproylene part before releasing hold down clamps.
- Mark part as processed correctly.
